Hi everyone. As some of you know, I am in the process of transforming my site into a gallery of sorts for my paintings and paintings of others around the world. This piece above was one of my very first paintings. My third painting, to be more specific. I wasn’t sure what story I wanted to tell, instead I allowed my paint to tell me what to do. I used very standard acrylic paints for this and basic canvas board. Since it was my first painting, I didn’t want the pressure of having to get it right the first time, so I painting on some cheap canvas board for beginners.  This is one of my favorites. So many artists strive for perfection, but something that I’ve learned along the way is that the lack of perfection in a painting is what makes it so…well, perfect.
