My special blue girl on the wall
When sadness swells inside my dreams,
The weight of life bursting at the seams,
When my tears drift silently across my face,
And only my pain fills this space.
When the shadows creep into my heart,
Threatening to crush me; tear me apart,
When I feel like I’ve failed; lost my love,
And it spreads its wings and flies above.
When I’m sad and lonely like tears in rain,
And sorrowful feelings provide such pain,
When I’m hurting and nobody to care,
Just my own unhappy reflection to stare.
I sit and look into your eyes,
Such beauty; I’m hypnotized,
Now the darkness fades away,
Safe for another day.
When I’m down, I know you’ll be there,
When nobody else seems to care,
I look at you and the darkness will fall,
My special blue girl on the wall.
